Originally hailing from a small beach community in Ventura County, located in Southern California, Nick Hillman was surrounded by a thriving agricultural community predominantly made up of rotating vegetable and fruit row crops, orchards, and small cattle ranch operations. His interest in agriculture grew as he encountered old world olive orchards and wine grape growing while visiting extended relatives in his maternal

grandmother’s village in mainland Greece.

Nick’s interest and appreciation for agriculture truly manifested while he was in college at California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO). Majoring in Wine and Viticulture with Minors in Plant Protection Sciences and Agricultural Business Management, Nick had the opportunity to work as a farm hand on the school’s deciduous orchard, the student vineyard, the U-pick and farmer’s market stand operation. Graduating with his degree in 2007, he went on to pursue his Masters in Viticulture at the University of Adelaide in South Australia, earning his post-graduate diploma in 2015.

With over a decade of experience in the wine grape vineyard industry, Nick has been fortunate to have a wide variety of experiences in different climates and regions, from Napa and the Central Coast of California to the Barossa Valley and the McLaren Vale of South Australia and even brief periods in the the state of Virginia and Bordeaux, France.

Nick founded Regenerative Agricultural Solutions in 2023 with the goal of stewarding the Earth in a holistic manner in order to sustain soil, water, and land health. Detail oriented and passionate about working with clients, Nick enjoys the feeling of accomplishment that comes in finding a solution that satisfies the client, while staying true to the regenerative principles that he cares about. Nick lives by the principle that to farm and tend to the land with these strategies is the purest form of traditional land stewardship that enhances the life of the soil, water, flora, and fauna around us, which in turn contributes to the improvement of our health as well as the health of the planet.

A resident of Fort Worth, he enjoys spending time in nature with his family, reading, tending to their small garden and pasture at home, and training in various martial arts disciplines.
